Hello! I’m Alex and I am currently a third year veterinary nursing student. I am a self-confessed crazy cat lady and have 4 of my own - Misty, Murray, Mango and Maple! I also have a Labrador cross called Finch who the cats like to keep in line (and sneak bites out of his food bowl).

Prior to starting my work in vet med, I worked in Pets at Home for over 3 years so I am comfortable with caring for all ranges of small furries too. I have owned hamsters, rats, mice, guinea pigs and rabbits over the years and there’s not a furry wee face I have met that I haven’t loved!

I am experienced in all areas of cat care between my job and my home life. Excellent snuggler and a pro at giving medications even to the most fussy of felines! I’ve been told I have a way with the shy ones and work hard to gain their trust at their pace.

I am certified as a Fear Free vet professional and understand the complex needs our cats may need from the friendly to the fearful. I’m a “cat advocate” and recently helped my practice recertify as a Silver level Cat Friendy Clinic. Cat care and nursing is a special subject of mine so rest assured that their health and wellbeing is at the forefront of what I do.
