I'm Kelly, and I live in Edinburgh with my husband Hamish and our black & white cat Bramble. She has been an amazing part of our lives and makes us laugh every day!

When Hamish and I decided to go away for a few months in 2017, my top priority was Bramble's comfort and safety. We are lucky enough to have family nearby who could take her in and look after her - but I know not everyone has this option available. This is why I wanted to get involved with Cat In A Flat, to help others have a great cat-sitting experience!

I have loved animals ever since I was young, and have looked after cats, dogs, guinea pigs, horses, and even fish for my friends and family. I'm extremely trustworthy, with experience in high responsibility roles caring for children, through which I was PVG checked. These roles involved being trusted to look after children from ages 2-10 in their family home, keeping to a schedule and ensuring their safety and well-being (and having some fun!). I believe this experience would be of great benefit and transfer seamlessly over to looking after our fluffier friends!

Having Bramble the cat in my life means I also have: - Insane belly-rubbing skills - Masterful ear-tickling abilities - Amazing chin-stroking experience ;)

I am comfortable administering medicine once properly briefed, and will ensure to keep detailed notes and track everything needed to make the experience as good as possible for you and your feline companion :) I also can't wait to get the chance to make pals with some gorgeous pusskins!

    Kelly is fantastic! We have used her twice now, and are looking forward to booking her for our next trip. She came over to meet the pets, and she was so delightful, we just chatted and chatted. Our plans changed multiple times, and she was super flexible. She even agreed to walk our dog for us!! She is an excellent communicator and sends the absolute best pictures. My pets adore her. She even thought of little things to do for them that I forgot to ask for. I could not be happier with her and am so lucky to have found her.

    Kelly was wonderful, excellent communication letting me know how my cat, Katy Lucy was behaving at each visit and sending lovely photos which gave me a lot or reassurance. A slightly anxious cat but she clearly responded well to Kelly , and I came home to a relaxed and playful cat .It was the first time I had been away for more than one night ,Kelly seemed to understand her nature and was able to engage her in play and stroking etc , good signs. I recommend Kelly without hesitation

    Kelly was really great with our 2 cats! We came back to happy and relaxed cats. She sent us lots of pics and videos while we were away on honeymoon, which we really appreciate. We have one really shy kitten who usually doesn’t like strangers, but was friendly toward Kelly! Would definitely recommend.

    Kelly was amazing, from our first exchanges on the website to the return of our keys, she was very good at communicating. I was a bit worried as it was the first time we used a pet sitter, but Kelly took such a great care of our cat Lillie, I felt very reassured to have Kelly as our cat sitter. She sent us messages, pictures and videos of her everyday, and we came home to a very relaxed and happy cat! I would not hesitate to recommend her and I would definitely be in touch in the future if we ever need a cat sitter again.

    We had a truly most excellent experience with Kelly looking after our cat. Can not recommend enough. We were away for two weeks and the steady stream of photos and updates we received took away any worry that our cat was doing anything but loving life.
