Cat Befriender in Bournemouth

Hello, I'm Amie 👋 I'm 31 and live in Central Bournemouth with my dog (Roo) and my cat (Lilah) they do keep me on my toes, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I work in adult social care so my pets (and all animals really!) Are a great way for me to unwind and decompress from my stressful job.

Lilah is an older lady who i rescued in 2022 so it has been an adjustment for all of us, her learning to cope with a younger dog in a new environment and Roo learning to be calm around a cat. But we've got there in the end, they happily co habit now! Lilah has even started to come out for Roo's evening walk round the block which is probably most amusing to my neighbours.

It's been great for me learning more about cats and their behaviours and routines. As well as learning just how affectionate they are when you are their 'person'. I have cared for my friends cats when they go away for a few years now and always had an affinity for them, but there's nothing quite like owning your own floof!

Mainly with my free time I am walking and training Roo or giving into Lilahs demands for cuddles, treats and head scritches.

I love all animals and I know how hard it is to leave them when we need a break and time to ourselves! But I know it's also so important to take a break so we can be 100% for our babies! I want to try and make life as easy as possible for you and your kitties whilst you have that much needed break. I'll take the best care of your fur babies and always willing to go the extra mile for any animal.

I had an elderly dog previously with chronic kidney disease so I am well versed with medical issues, medications and treatments so you can rest assured that I completely understand how important it is for these to be carried out and how every pet is different in how they will take their meds! I also understand how extra hard it is to leave these special babies so will ensure they have extra love and you have extra reassurance.

I've cat/dog sat for friends and family in the past who are always so grateful I send cute and fun pics unprompted (I know how it is being away from your babies) and how clean I've kept their house, even going as far as to hoover hair before their return for one less job to do! I'm a little OCD about cleaning food and water bowls every day so you can rest assured your baby will be well cared for and your house kept tidy. I am a keen gardener also so happy to take care of plants.
