New Aussie Cat Cuddler in London - looking after furry friends!

Hi I'm Shimmy.

My partner and I have been travelling through South East Asia and Turkey for the past 7 months but we are new (and have moved) to the UK for a bit of a life change. I'm originally from Melbourne in Australia where I've lived my whole life. In my childhood I had a huge range of pets from yabbies to pet rats to a massive labradoodle - yet in my whole childhood, I was pretty desperate for a cat!

My history of cats: When I moved out I lived with my housemates cat, Mickey, a white short haired little lady. She was so so sweet, and we lived together for maybe 4 years or so. When my housemate would go away, I would feed Mickey, give scratches and brushes, pick up from her litter, and take her for walks in her backpack outside (which she loooved).

When Mickey moved away, our new housemate brought a tiny foster kitten into our house. She obviously came from trauma so we had to tread super carefully for a year and a bit until little Neo became more comfortable. When my housemate would go away, I also would look after Neo - definitely more difficult than Mickey as he was so scared all the time, so no brushes, just little finger pats once she was settled, and food and litter care and all that.

Modern History (the past 2 months) with cats: Since we moved to London, I've been pet/house sitting full time through different areas of London (and on a different site) I've completed 4 sits, 3 with cats which ranged from 3 nights to 2 weeks (5 stars thank you). This has been the best thing as I'm still in holiday mode/ exploration phase, and after such long travels, it has been so lovely having a few constant pets and furry friends around.

About me: So I'm a 26 year old female from Melbourne. I consider myself a highly empathetic, cuddly, loving lady, who is highly adventurous, very clean and loves treating a little cutie. For work I have been running different bars in Melbourne for the past 4 years. For play I love adventures. I love travelling, I love eating and drinking my way through the cities. I love hiking and art galleries equally. For peace I paint.

So with your very special feline friends I can do basically anything they need.

I am especially good at scratches and tickles. I am very cuddly and will happily let your darling rest on my lap for as long as they need or crawl up and around like I'm a tree.

Or if they need a bit of space and just maintenance, food top ups, litter cleaning, nail cutting, brushing - thats totally fine with me too.

I once looked after a cat who loved going on walks in backpacks so if your cat loves something like that - let me know - I will happy oblige.
