About Me

Helen at Home

Hello. I am a retired District Nurse, my nursing career lasted 30 years, and now I enjoy my home and garden, my allotment, my dog walks and my five grandchildren. I have nine cats in cat heaven, all much loved characters, and currently get my cat fix from my grandcats Conrad, Delilah and Daisy. I have plenty of time for your cat, and am reliable and trustworthy. Communication throughout my visits is entirely to your wishes - from daily pics and videos to simple 'all is well' messages. I love cats and their quirks and personalities and can't wait to meet them. After years of visiting patients in their homes I am well versed in ensuring the security of your home as I come and go. I can be trusted with keys and alarm codes, and will invite you to change any codes when my visits are over.

I cover Almondbury and surrounding areas - as far as Dalton/Kirkheaton/Lepton/Fenay Bridge. Travelling to you is in my own time, and my price is per 20 minute visit. Although I often spend longer interacting with them if they want fuss and attention. Depending on the information you give me, I adjust this according to their wants and needs. I appreciate some cats are shy or nervous.

    Helen was absolutely great - a lovely person and great with my boys! Would highly recommend. Met beforehand to meet Lenny and Reggie and to agree the plan to look after them. Really flexible with the weather and requirements, great communication to update on plans and the cats. Felt safe leaving the cats and the house keys with her. Big thanks xx

    Helen kept me updated on the babies and although they were shy at first, which we expected, they did warm to her. Came home to no issues. Not even sure they were bothered we went away.

    I have 4 cats, 3 of whom are strays/ferals, so are quite needy. I knew Helen professionally but felt very at ease having her looking after my feline brood. I came home to them all fed, watered & their trays clean. One of my wierd girls really enjoyed Helen caring for them, so much she gifted her (??) with purrs and love bites!! Thanks Helen x

    Helen has looked after our two cats on a few occasions now, and I have felt very pleased with her service. Both my cats like a lot of human contact and she spends time sitting with them so that they feel reassured when we're not there. She sends regular updates to us so that we know what they're doing and photos too. I would highly recommend her.

Helen really cared about our 2 fur babies, we got daily updates and photos, and the "furkids" seem to have taken to Helen really well. Helen left everything tidy litter tray and bowls. Will def book again.
