About Me
Reliable and caring cat sitter
My name is Kat; I’m 32 and work in a tech communications agency. My clients’ technologies are often complicated to understand (take quantum computing as an example). So, I help companies untangle this complexity and tell their stories in an exciting and approachable way.
I grew up with cats. When I was very small, we had a black and white cat, Anfisa, who was incredibly smart and patient with me as a toddler. When I turned 13, we got another cat, Mousya, who instantly chose me as her main owner. She would meet me at the door as I returned from school and then spend all day and night in my room, following me around the house if necessary!
I know you might think, given I was a teenager, my parents did everything like feeding the cat, going to the vet, etc. That’s why I want to mention my mom is not the best cat carer when it comes to understanding scientific-proved cats’ needs, such as a balanced diet, access to fresh, clean water, vet care, and so on. So I did extensive research into the cats’ needs, e.g. I convinced her Mousya needed sterilisation for her health and then regularly took her to vets for vaccination; bought her food and litter, made sure she had access to clean water; and so on.
Mousya died two years ago at the age of 15 after undergoing cancer treatment and successfully recovering after an operation. This left a big hole in my heart, and I’ll always remember her as my best cat friend.
In addition to that, my husband’s family also has several cats. We don’t have cats now because our rental contract doesn't allow that, but it brightens my day whenever I see a cat in a window or strolling around the streets of London.
Being a cat sitter is an amazing way of getting acquainted and spending some time with more distinguished felines and also helping their owners when they need it!
I’d stick to your instructions, but I’m happy to feed the cats, clean up their litter box, change water, brush them, and, of course, play with them and give them cuddles if they are open to it. I have experience in doing under-the-skin injections and giving tablets but if I’m doing that alone, for success the cat needs to be very calm.
I’m also happy to send you pics and short updates after each visit.
I work full-time, 2 days from home and 3 days from Victoria office, so I’m available for cat sitting in the evenings or over the weekend. The visits need to be planned and scheduled.
