About Me
Calm & Professional - Insured & DBS✅ * Special Offer Alert *
I'm Rebecca, living in Amersham with my family here. I am available to assist you with drop-ins for your feline family member, avoiding the stress of catteries, giving you peace of mind whilst you are away. I am also now offering an overnight cat sitting service (2 nights minimum. I bring my own food, toiletries, towels. Travel contribution to/from house sit requested). I absolutely love cats and helping people out. I am fully insured with Protectivity and DBS checked (I bring docs to meet and greet). I factor this into my rates along with travel time/costs to and from houses.
I have studied animal care courses with the Academy of Health and Fitness online, which included pet first aid, nutrition and feline behaviour/psychology. I arrange two meet and greets before bookings: one in the Chiltern Lifestyle centre or via an online zoom call (your preference) and the second in your home, for added security and peace of mind.
In recent years, I spent two years living and working in retreat centres within the UK and France, including a 15-month period in West Sussex as a paid live-in gardener & caretaker and several months at the world-renowned meditation centre, Moulin de Chaves. When owners were away or the usual cat carer was absent, I often put myself forward to take on feeding and caring responsibilities as I loved being around them so much! It was whilst doing this that I realised how important our feline friends are in improving human lives and wished to be able to support cats upon my return.
I run a successful pet sitting service on other sites too with excellent references.
Outside of cat sitting, I am developing a part time creative business from home.

I am offering a local drop-in service to people in and around the Amersham and Chesham Bois areas (limited in Chesham) and house sitting within around 12 miles. I walk or use public transport to get around, which helps keep the service environmentally conscious.
I am happy to help with a range of offerings, including feeding, cleaning litter trays, playing, grooming, and lap time/cuddles (if wanted, of course!). Medication administering for cats where there is an established bond can be discussed. I am also happy to do additional tasks on request, including watering plants, gathering post, putting out bins and cleaning around cat areas.
* Please note I will only look after cats that are up to date with their vaccinations/flea/worming treatments, in relatively good health and reasonably friendly with people (no aggression). Quirks are happily accepted! *
In the highly unlikely event that your cat should need to go to the vet as an emergency, there is a £25 fee for the first hour (drop-ins only) plus taxi fare and £20 per hour thereafter. Happy to liaise with your local family/friends to transport the cat to the vet.
Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & Day and Easter Sunday are £30 per 30 min drop in (very limited local availability) and £80 base rate for house sitting. All other Bank holiday weekend days are 30% extra (Fri-Mon inclusive).
There is an extra daily rate of £6 for each additional cat per household where extra litter trays and food areas need to be prepared/cleaned separately/have different requirements.
I have a meditation, yoga and Tai Chi practice, frequently participating in holistic retreats. Cats seem to be drawn to me with the calm and positive energy the practices bring! I am also a qualified massage therapist (ITEC), so am also great at pampering cats with touch (if they like that!). Play is also so important and enjoy keeping cats occupied with their favourite toys and games.
