About Me
Cat sitter in Durham
**UPDATE 15/12/2024 Hi again folks, back to normal availability again - things under control health wise & mobility much improved - still not 100%, but have specialist appointment in Jan so hopefully will have diagnosis soon. So all well for looking after your fur babies. Thanks for all the kind messages I've received as well!
TEMPORARY EDIT 12/10/2024* Hi folks, I have updated my availability over the next few weeks as I am having some medical issues which are significantly affecting my mobility at this time so I won't be available during most weekdays for the time being. I can still drive at the moment (thank heavens lol) so some weekends may still be possible as I won't need to be going to work as well. Also any previous/repeat clients if you need me for an odd day during the week I may still be able to help so do still text me if you need to. Hopefully I will be in the position to be fully available again as soon as possible once my condition is fully treated or at least manageable! Many apologies for any inconvenience, thank you **
I have always loved cats, ever since I was a little girl they have been one of my favourite animals. My neighbours when growing up always had cats and I always looked out for them and gave them treats when they came to our garden. Fastforward a couple of decades...my husband and I have had six rescue kitties. The first two, Sirius and Regulus, came as a bonded pair. Sirius was a pure black cuddlebug with a purr as loud as a freight train. Sadly we lost her to heart failure in the middle of 2020 and we still miss her every day. Regulus was a little more reserved but gradually became a lot more cuddly - a handsome tabby and white furball. We lost him in 2022, again with heart issues, he was never quite the same after Sirius passed. Bella came to us in 2019 - she is a skittish young soot sprite with a loud shrieky meow who loves to sit endlessly on my lap so i never get anything done! We adopted Orion several months after we lost Sirius in the hope of providing a new friend for Regulus as he loved to have another cat to groom and Bella doesn't allow it. He was a big friendly older tuxedo boy who climbed on your shoulder & purred in your ear. We lost him in April 2024 to kidney failure. The loss of 3 beloved friends over a relatively short period of time has been a tough time for us and we miss them all. They were all different characters and our lives have been richer for them all. Bella was for 6 months the only cat in the household & then in October we brought home Luna & Lily, two playful, food obsessed 1 yr old tuxies, who have plunged a relatively calm household into chaos (at least at mealtimes!).
I always love to meet new cats and will look after yours with the same care, love and attention that I do with my own. I will feed and water and clean out litter trays and will accomodate any special needs. Playing and belly-rubs also provided as standard (if kitty wants of course!). I will send you pictures and updates so you know they are safe and well. I am also happy to do any little extras like water the plants or pick up your post. I work full-time but am otherwise very flexible, and am more than happy to meet up beforehand so you can rest assured your cats are in safe hands and they approve of me!
