Let me introduce myself!

I’m Niamh, I have been a cat owner for 8 years to my two beautiful boys Meeko and Jett. Prior to this I have grown up with family pets including cats, dogs, rabbits and other small animals ever since I was born. I also grew up looking after neighbours pets with my parents and then on my own as I got older.

Following on from my GCSE’s I decided to enroll on an Animal Management course and graduated with a Distinction. I then went on to work in a boarding kennels and cattery, with a dog rescue attached, where I quickly rose to a senior member of staff. I also gained a certificate in Pet Sitting and Dog Walking. From this I gained my own insurance and started to look after all kinds of pets from cats and dogs to bearded dragons in my spare time under Kiara’s Tails, inspired by my love of Lion King 2.

Since moving areas I stopped pet sitting as I had lost my client base and had a change in job. Now that I have set hours at full time job I am able to start pet sitting again part time and have chosen to do so via Cat in a Flat.

I adore animals and have wanting to dedicate my working life since teachers started asking us ‘what do you want to be when you grow up?’. Without fail I’d state that I wanted to rescue and look after animals.

I offer a professional, trustworthy and caring service with extensive experience of caring for cats, dogs and other small animals and their many different personalities, quirks and needs. Please note if there is a dog that requires care during the booking dates an additional charge, depending on if it is a single dog or multiple dogs, will be added per visit/day to allocate for walks.

I am happy to administer non injectable medications and have experience with many types of medications and supplements.

While in my care your pet will be treated as family. Should you have a nervous pet that needs a no pressure, on their own terms environment or a loves fuss, confident, playful, always on the go pet they will have their needs respected and fulfilled.

Other jobs such as plant watering, placing any post into an area of your choice, putting bins out on bin day etc. can be done on request.
