About Me

Carmel’s Cat Sitting

Hi - my name is Carmel and I LOVE cats! I was Mum to 4 cats over a period of 22 years. I’m also experienced in caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and fish (but not reptiles or spiders). I no longer have cats of my own as my husband has health issues and allergies. I have cat-sat for many of my friend’s cats in recent years and this inspired me to become a cat sitter. Many of my clients are amazed at how I can connect with, and win over, even the grumpiest of cats! I have a real affection for, and affinity with animals and this is born out by many repeat bookings.

I live in Southville, Bristol and am happy to cover the BS3 post code area (preferably in the North Street locality, but I can drive if further away). I can do local overnight stays too. I am happy to clean litter trays, administer medication, wash food bowls and play and chat with your cat. I can also water house plants, put out recycling and bins, bring delivered parcels inside and water your garden. I am happy to send clients text/WhatsApp updates and photos as reassurance that their kitty is ok while they are away. I can also accommodate extra visits if your journey home is delayed (depending on my availability).

    Carmel was great with our two cats and it was reassuring getting messages when she’d visited. One of our cats in particular makes it known when he’s unhappy but we came back home to all our possessions still intact so clearly he felt well looked after!

    Carmel was super lovely and friendly, and won over my very shy Lily almost instantly (to my surprise!). She made me feel very secure about leaving Lily in her care. She sent updates and photos at every visit, and I will 100% book her again if available. She also watered my plants although I forgot to ask her to!

    Repeat booking with Carmel who was great with my cats! It was the longest I had left them so I was a bit anxious but Carmel was wonderful with photos and reassurance. She even kindly watered the garden due to the heatwave unasked! Will be using again.

    Carmel looked after my two cats this past week. Carmel was very friendly and did a great job looking after them. They were well fed, medication was given as needed, and Carmel even took care of my plants! There were some delays in communication regarding visit updates, but I came home to two cats that were happy, healthy, and well taken care of!
