About Me
A trustworthy cat friend
Since moving to the UK, my love for cats has grown in ways I never expected. At first, I didn’t think much about it, but as I settled into my new life, I found myself surrounded by cats—whether at friends’ flats, in my neighbourhood, or simply roaming the streets. Slowly but surely, they became a part of my everyday life, and my bond with them deepened.
It all started with my friends’ cats. Every visit to their homes meant being greeted by a curious feline, weaving between my legs or nudging me with their soft little heads. Over time, these cats began to treat me like one of their own, curling up beside me, purring contentedly, or playfully swiping at a toy. Their affection felt like a warm welcome into a new chapter of my life.
Then came the neighbour’s cats—graceful little visitors who seemed to have no concept of personal space. They’d lounge in my garden, perch on fences watching me go about my day, and sometimes even sneak inside if I left the door open. It didn’t take long for them to recognise me, and now, they often trot over for a quick scratch behind the ears, as if I’m part of their daily routine.
Beyond that, I started noticing just how many cats there are around here. Whether they’re basking in the sun on a doorstep or confidently striding across the street like they own the place, they each have their own charm. Every time I spot a new one, I can’t help but feel a little thrill of joy, wondering if they, too, might become a familiar face.
What I love most is how these cats express their trust and affection in the smallest ways—a soft nuzzle, a slow blink, a quiet presence nearby. In their company, I’ve found comfort, companionship, and a kind of wordless understanding. Moving to the UK has brought many changes to my life, but my connection with cats has been one of the most unexpected and rewarding.
In-Home Visits: Offer scheduled visits to the client's home to check on their cats. During these visits, I can provide essential care such as feeding, refilling water bowls and cleaning litter boxes.
Playtime and Enrichment: Spend quality time engaging with the cats through play, cuddles, and interactive toys. Cats thrive on mental stimulation and physical activity, so incorporating playtime into your visits can ensure they stay happy and healthy.
Monitoring Health and Behavior: Keep an eye on the cats' overall health and behavior during my visits. Look out for any signs of illness or distress and promptly notify the owner if I notice anything unusual.
Daily Updates: Provide daily updates to the cat owners, either through text messages or videos. This helps reassure them that their furry companions are in good hands and allows me to communicate any noteworthy observations or concerns.
