About Me
Cat sitter in Edinburgh
I'm an animal and nature lover. Above all animal companions, I adore cats. I've petsit for people since 2013 and my family has taken care of lots of cats, all of which we took in as kittens because they were unwanted, bar one, which we took in when she was 10+ years old, after her elderly owner couldn't care for her anymore. When I bought my own property as well I was finally able to get 2 feline fur babies of my own, brother and sister, Mulder and Scully. So I would say I have a fair amount of experience with cats and I'm guaranteed to be extremely loving towards any cat I meet.
I have my own transport so am happy to catsit anywhere really. If you’re interested in my services, we can set up a little meet and greet before or after you decide to book to discuss your needs and get to know each other (cat or cats as well). I’m more than comfortable sitting for a cat who has extra needs, like needing medication at specific times.
I love to give any cat the type of attention it requires. I can be patient with timid cats, I love to play with playful cats, and of course I’ll provide all the snuggles and pets a cuddly cat wants.
I would normally spend a good hour or so with your cat(s) if you just require 1 daily visit, at a specific time if you like, otherwise I will figure out the most appropriate time. If you require 2 daily visits, I’ll visit in the morning for around half an hour before work. I’ll sort all their necessities and chill out for a bit to let them get used to me and let the cat(s) come for attention or some playtime if they want it. If they’re a bit shy or particular about people, I’ll always try to encourage some interaction to help them get more used to me so as to reduce any stress they may feel around strangers, like giving them plenty of opportunities to give me a sniff and check me out or whipping out their favourite treats to let them know I’m friendly.
I’ll always message during or just after my visits and send some pictures so you can be confident that they’re being well cared for.
