Hi there! My name is Xiaoqi, and I have been a dedicated pet owner since I was 5 years old. I grew up with a Golden Retriever named Dixie and a Husky named Bebe, along with two cats: a Maine Coon named Beibei and an orange tabby named Xiaomei. During my undergraduate years, I rescued a calico cat and a Pomeranian, both of whom found forever homes due to my dormitory's restrictions.

Although my experience with dogs is extensive, I am equally experienced with cats. I have honed my skills in interpreting their vocalizations and body language to understand their emotions and communicate more effectively. My journey with pets also includes caring for various birds, such as budgerigars, cockatiels, and pearl birds. However, I had to rehome them for their safety due to the presence of my cats.

My expertise extends to recognizing and addressing common health issues in pets, although I am not a licensed veterinarian. For instance, I successfully nursed a rescued calico cat back to health from a severe illness with the help of a professional vet. While I cannot provide medical treatment, I can offer invaluable insights and experience in caring for your beloved pets.
