Buckinghamshire Cat-Lady Sitter

I'm a responsible, mature woman who has always had the good fortune to have had cat companions my whole life.

From my first cat as a child, Shandy, a beautiful tortoiseshell half-Persian through black, black and white, ginger, and my current little one, Cookie, who's a tabby. I have adored them all and had a wonderful friendship and understanding with them.

Most of my cats have been rescues, and my last cat, Willow, a beautiful tabby, sadly left me in 2022 at the fine old age of 19. We had been together for 15 years and were very close. I didn't want another tabby, but Cookie came along 4 months later when I was told about someone with a need for a temporary foster home - but then the owner couldn't care for her and 4 months later, without hesitation, I adopted her. She's a very special little bear.

I am saying all this to let you know I know cats. They are ALL different, each with their own quirks and personality traits. I know they all have their little loving ways but also a strong sense of independence and I Iove them for this. I believe you should respect all living things, but cats demand it - and rightly so.

As for their care, I've mostly had cats who go outside, but with a new cat, or due to my moving house or if the cat has had surgery, I've also had litter trays and am used to dealing with that.

I've also had sick cats. Willow had hyperthyroidism in her latter years, and had to have medication every day (syringe in the mouth was the best for her) and plenty of water, so I also understand how dealing with an older cat needs different special care and attention.

I am available now to give your little one some loving care while you are away and it will be an absolute pleasure.

As for my service, I will:

Feed them Ensure there's enough water Give them cuddles (if they want it) Play with them (if they want to) Clean up any litter trays Administer any medication* (not injections)

In addition, I am happy to: Water any plants Feed any birds or fish (with clear instructions as this isn't my field)

*Only medication not requiring a vet to administer
