Services I provide as a cat carer:

• Free meet ups before the booking takes place so you and your cat(s) can get to know me (optional but highly advised)

• Provision of fresh food and fresh water daily

• Cleaning of the cat bowls and litter trays according to your preferred methods

• Plenty of play time, fuss and cuddles

• Grooming (dry grooming with brushes)

• Daily photos and updates

• Providing medicine through wet or dry food. (Includes getting the cat to think the medicine is a treat)

Additional services: Watering and caring for plants (inside and outside the house). This is provided at no extra cost. Opening and closing curtains – for extra home security.

I love cats with a passion, my family call me a 'cat whisperer' as I know how to 'communicate' with cats and usually find gentle ways to encourage cats to come to me. I have had cats since I was 8 years old, including taking care of an elderly, 3 legged cat until she passed over the rainbow bridge aged 18 years old and have raised two kittens, who are now 7 years old and very happy, friendly girls!

I am a qualified Nutritional Advisor and Coach, after having previously been a Performing Arts (PGCE - Drama) and ESOL Teacher. I am also a Carer for my husband who has M.S. and I am starting to return back to work! I speak English and German, having lived in Germany for five years.

I live in Pontllanfraith, in the beautiful Valleys of South Wales - and would be honoured to look after your cats while you are away.

I have fantastic five star reviews and I regularly receive comments such as " You are doing a fantastic job Fleur, Cassie looks happy and content with you, thank you so much!" and from another owner, "So nice to see them happy.. they love company which is why 2 visits are important", and when I met a new owner and her two cats, " Hi Fleur, thank you so much for taking the time to come over. They were really enamoured with you which was so lovely to see, as they are not like that with everyone. I know they are in safe hands." (This owner has now booked me 5 times).

I love to spend time with cats of all ages, love to play with them, spend time giving them attention and care. I am also learning First Aid for Felines.

General Availability: If I am not available, I am either fully booked or on holiday during the period in question. Previous clients can contact me on my mobile number to confirm availability for their dates. Bookings are accepted several months in advance.

Price information: My starting hourly rate covers the living wage (/hour) calculated by the Living Wage Organisation and Wales Living Wage (£12.60 for the UK outside of London). It also includes part cover of the insurance and website fee I pay Cat In a Flat. (Insurance + use of Cat In a Flat + use of Stripe is 19% of the price I show on my profile, so I receive 81% of the price you’re shown when you make a booking with me) For information on the Wales specific living wage, please see: https://livingwage.wales

If you have any other questions about fees or would like more explanation, please message me. I will not accept requests asking for me to reduce my fee to anything below my starting fees.
