About Me

Cally Chat and Tickles

We were so lucky to have the most adorable cat for 14 years, but sadly lost him over a year ago. He was very poorly for the last year, and we spent a lot of time and love making sure his last year was comfortable, safe, and loving.

My partner and I now work part-time (from home). I worked for over 30 years in the arts and then later on in technology. We are doing a fair bit of traveling now, so we have decided that we can't extend our family for now, but we miss spending time with our furry friends.

I am a local school governor (so am DBS checked) and involved in other local community services.

Very good at giving excellent tickles. I grew up with three cats - a wonderful big ginger tom, a very quiet tortoiseshell, and a short-haired blue so very respectful of the different personalities they all have and the varying needs. I feel fortunate to have the knack of getting most cats to engage in tickles.

I am happy to offer topping-up food services and playtime. I appreciate that some cats will be missing their owners, and I am happy to spend an hour engaging in "chat, company, or play" if needed.

I have administered pills in food and by mouth, but I appreciate that by mouth may be difficult in a cat you don't know, but happy to discuss this.

    Claire was so kind to look after Taro at the weekend at very short notice. She knew how to approach a shy cat, and Taro seemed comfortable from the start. Claire was very well organised and thoughtful, taking notes and every detail into account. We had real peace of mind and feel lucky to have met her.

    Claire was great. My cats were fed their bowls of water full she cleaned the Cat Litter spent time with my cats gave me daily updates which was appreciated, I didn’t worry about my furry friends… when I returned from my getaway, my cats were so chilled and happy, I don’t think they missed me much at all….. thank you to Claire

    Claire was fantastic while I was away — a great communicator who kept in regular touch with updates and photos of Freddie and Tiger, which was really reassuring. She was reliable and clearly very caring, not just looking after the cats wonderfully but also helping out in other ways around the flat. I came back to two happy cats. Thanks Claire!

    Claire is lovely and very caring, she looked after my senior cat Tommi with compassion and understanding. She updated me and sent me photos for the whole period she was looking after her. Won’t hesitate to book her again when needed.

    Claire was fantastic! She communicated promptly with me and asked all the right questions which told me that she really understood about giving cats medicine. The cats seemed happy when I got home (if they'd been feeling neglected they would have been grumpy with me!). I'll definitely book her again.
