About Me
Mappurrley Cat Sitting
My name is Helen, I'm 32, and me and my boyfriend have lived in Mapperley, Nottingham for four years with our strange little menagerie.
My mum once wrote in a baby book about me that I have a 'particular fondness for animals, especially cats.' I've spent my entire life around cats, and have always held them in the highest regard, never thinking of them as just a 'pet'. For me, cats (and other animals) are family, friends, individuals.
Our cat is a beautiful 2 year old blue smoke Maine Coon male called Wolfie, and alongside him we also have 5 female rats, a corn snake called Roo, two giant African snails called Alex and Story, and 6 tarantulas.
Recently I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Care so that you can have complete confidence in my services as a cat sitter. I understand that cats have their own personalities and individual needs, whether it's dietary requirements or favourite toys, whether they love a cuddle or aren't fond of being touched at all. As a stranger in their space I always check the behaviour of the cats to ensure they are stressed out as little as possible, ideally not at all!
I work on the weekends so I am available for pet-sitting during the week. I am happy to pet sit anywhere around Nottingham City Centre provided there is a public transport route or if you are within walking distance.
My services can also extend to other pets. I love rodents and reptiles, and I regularly volunteer at Guardian Angels Bird Sanctuary in Eastwood where I assist with the care of parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, and goats.
