I am an engineer looking at data all the time (sometimes feeling a bit too robotics). After discovering this Cat in a Flat platform, I think it is a brilliant idea to give myself the chance to meet more cats (to keep myself lively) while helping out cat owners when you will be away.

I've never had a cat of my own, but I'd lived with my landladies' cats and dog for some years, and I often helped take care of them. My niece and nephew have a cat too. I really enjoy very much feeding and playing with their cat when I stay over.

Further back, dogs and occasionally cats came to my workplace on foreign construction sites. I couldn't help myself from taking care of them. They were intriguing and adorable.

I felt that cats and dogs accepted me pretty much right away during our first meeting. It always makes me happy and flattered that they could sense my friendliness.

Certainly, feeding, replenishing fresh water, washing up cat bowls, and clearing out litter trays are my basic services. I am also happy to socialise with your cats (petting, cuddling and playtime), with your permission and only if your cat feels like so. I'll send you photo/video updates via Whatsapp, Signal or email, if you'd like.

I am open to including other reasonable services during my visits for a small extra charge (negotiable). These could include grooming your cat, extra-long playtime, ventilating the room, opening/closing the blinds or curtains, watering house plants, bringing in mails from your mailbox or doorstep, vacuum cleaning the cat's living area, looking after your fish and/or other pets, fetch pet food from nearby supermarket, etc.

I offer daily visits (once or twice a day) and am mostly flexible, depending on my main work schedule. I have my own car and happy to cover 5 miles around Wallingford. I can go farther if you are happy to discuss mileage costs.
