About Me

Lottie, Lover of Cats.

Hi! My name's Lottie, I'm a geography graduate / civil servant, and the one thing I love more than learning about other places is cats! I'm a friend to all animals but cats win over the rest, I love their fluffiness and strong personalities, and how they always have their way <3

My love for cats came from my childhood cat Sophie, and grew with time. When I was little I'd read all about cats and had many cat encyclopaedias! Sadly (despite my better efforts) my parents never got another cat after she passed away, and my current living situation doesn't allow for pets, so the main way I can spend time with cats is cat-sitting. I am friendly, trustworthy, responsible, and always endeavour to do my very best.

I provide thorough care, love, and attention for your pets while you’re away. My service includes, but is not limited to:

-Feeding, refreshing water, checking up on them - all the basics PLUS… -Making a huge fuss of your pets (if they want it!) -Chatting to them, keeping them company - not just feeding them and leaving -Sending you daily updates and photos -Cleaning bowls between meals -Changing litter -Cleaning up any mess your pet makes (yes, really any mess) -Administering medication -Brushing their fur -Watering your plants -Going out of the way to cater for your pet’s specific needs

I can do 1-2 visits per day (morning and afternoon/evening), and overnight stays. I am flexible with dates/times/visits, and take last-minute bookings. I am DBS-checked.

    Lottie is our favourite sitter. She keeps us up to date on little Floki the whole time and he absolutely LOVES her. He has separation anxiety and can go on hunger strike as well as hide a lot, but he eats and plays with her the whole time!

    Lottie is literally a cat wizard. Our cat has separation anxiety and usually just pines for us the whole time without eating, which is obviously very stressful for us, too. But, with Lottie, Floki ate everyday and he played with her loads! Lottie was amazing at keeping us updated, sending us loads of photos, and we could see how relaxed he was. She was open and honest with us if he ever seemed a little subdued etc, which we really appreciated, as we could advise and knew exactly how Floki was feeling. We came home to a spotless house; Lottie even stayed later than expected as our flight was delayed and she didn’t want Floki to be on his own! Cannot recommend her enough, and we’ll use Lottie whenever we can from now on!

    She was on time and looked after my cat seemingly well overnight. We only got 3 pictures and no other indication of what they got up to but when we got home the cat seemed content! The litter tray could have done with some cleaning out before we got home but nonetheless she did a good job for the price :)

    We couldn't have had a better sitter than Lottie - she was first class. As evidenced by the nonchalence shown by our three cats on our return! Her attention to detail was excellent and her photo updates were funny and reassuring. Highly recommended x

    It was great to have met Lottie through Cat in a Flat, she was most caring and reliable with our cat Thai; we were all particularly down at the time as we had lost our other cat Mischa not long ago and were unsure how that could impact her lifelong companion, on top of our absence. Communication was amazing, Lottie kept sending us photos and updates, always very attentive to Thai´s behaviour and any potential sign of concern. It turns out Lottie and Thai got along beautifully and we could spend sometime away without a worry, in confidence Thai was in good hands. I couldn´t recommend her highly enough.

    Lottie was amazing! I was nervous about putting my cat in a Cattery as at 12 years old, she'd never been in one. I definitely made the right choice. Lottie was so caring & provided regular updates. She stayed overnight and the house was spotless. I would 100% recommend!
