About Me

Carol's Reliable Cat sitting!

Hi. My name is Carol and I am a retired teacher who loves cats. I have an enhanced DBS, am trustworthy, reliable and well organised so will never let you down. I don't currently own a cat since one of my household is allergic to them so I am making up that big gap in my life by looking after those of others as you can see from my profile photo. I have loved cats since birth when my cat Tortie used to climb into my cot and pad up and down, rubbing her face against mine and purring. I have had lots of experience in looking after cats of all ages from newly born kittens to elderly felines which you can see if you would like to read on.

My last cat Freddie was an Old Siamese, statuesque, handsome and affectionate. I looked after him from a kitten until he was twenty years old and we were so close! I also had Sugar who was a white British Shorthair. She had a lovely litter of kittens who we had to bottle feed night and day every two to three hours until they grew to be strong, healthy kittens. They even starred in a TV advert for cat litter! I have also had two other moggy cats - one was a rescue cat and with patience she became calm and began to trust people again.It's an honour to take care of these lovely animals and I love their intelligent, independent yet affectionate personalities!

I will arrange to meet up with you to note any requirements and get vet details etc. and you will be able to see if I am a good match for your precious pet family. Your kitty's happiness and comfort will always be put first with feeding, watering, washing bowls, cleaning the litter tray and replacing it with fresh litter. If I see something that needs doing then I'm really happy to do it - I can use my initiative.

I love playing with my feline friends and always spend lots of time with them. I talk to them to reassure them while you are away and give cuddles when they are ready and comfortable to come to me. Regular photos and videos will be sent so you can see what they are doing while you are away.

Finally, I can easily administer medication, providing full written instructions are given in advance but for more invasive treatments, it's probably best to use a trained veterinary nurse. I prefer to build up positive relationships with them and most cats hate the vet!

    I was really nervous about leaving my 2 cats as one of them had been really unwell recently. Carol did an excellent job of looking after them and putting my mind at ease. They were really happy and content when we got home.

    We've just got back from holiday to find two very happy cats. Carol sent updates and photos and went the extra mile to let us know when she realised we were getting parking tickets. What was really great is knowing that one of our cats was getting his regular medication which we have not managed before. Would 100% recommend and so would our cats!

    We booked Carol after finding ourselves without a cat sitter very close to a weekend away. She was really communicative and helpful, which made us feel so at ease. She was wonderful with Tilly, who can be extremely fussy. It was such a relief to know that she was well looked after and safe whilst we were away. I whole heartedly recommend Carol!

    Carol was so lovely, reliable and reassuring. We received twice daily messages, pictures and videos of our two kittens. We were also quite worried about leaving them as they got sick just before our holiday and she was very understanding and flexible with the changes we had to make. We came back to a clean home and two happy kitties

    Carol was professional and friendly. I felt very reassured before we left that the cats would be well looked after. Carol sent messages and photos/videos every day and even came back to the house when we were delayed on our return to receive our supermarket delivery. Our cats were clearly happy and relaxed and we'll use them again.
