I have three cats and still get excited when I meet yours!

I’ve loved cats since I was 3 and my family adopted a friend’s elderly, fluffy tabby cat - Prinny. In fact, the longest I’ve ever been without a cat in the 36 years I’ve been alive is 2 months!

My wife and I have three spoiled cats - Aggie, Bosie and Herbert. They are our absolute world and we plan our entire lives around them - so I completely understand how scary it is to look for a cat sitter on a site like this and not be sure the person you’re learning about is actually trustworthy.

I think most people on here are genuine cat lovers, so you’ve come to the right place, even if it does feel scary to leave your cat with a stranger. That said, you’re bound to want to know a bit more about a person before letting them into your home with your fur baby!

So here’s a bit about me to reassure you:

• I work in marketing and communications and absolutely love my job. My hours are flexible and I work two days from home, so I can do things like cat sit for people with little faff
• My wife, a professional news editor and also cat lover, works purely remotely so can always spend a few hours with your cats working from your home if you think they could benefit from some dedicated company
• I work for a public sector company in a position of trust in the community
• Herbert has special needs due to a heart condition and requires medication and extra care, so we are experienced with more advanced kinds of cat care
• We have indoor-only cats, so if you don’t want your moggie going outdoors while you’re away, we’re very experienced at keeping puss indoors!

— I’ve never met a cat I didn’t fall head over heels in love with on day 1, so you can expect your cat to get lots of affection and cuddles if they want it — or left to scowl at me from a respectful distance if that’s more their vibe! I will happily tell a cat how beautiful they are across the room while they judge me

— I will send pictures to reassure you your cat is safe and happy

— I will feed and water on your schedule, in the amount you specify

— Happy to scoop poops and refresh litter trays

— Love a good play session, if your cat needs someone to throw his favourite catnip mouse around or wave his teaser wand!

— Also happy to water plants, bring in post, and any other small task you need
