Hello!

I'm Kirstie :) I'm an administrator and work within supported housing. I used to volunteer at a cat rescue and so have worked with cats of all kinds. From kittens climbing up my legs to feral cats that need lots of time and space and everything in between. I absolutely love all animals and have never lived without a pet.

I've pretty much had cats my whole life, and I think these little chaos gremlins are one of the best pets (and friends!) you can have.

I have two cats currently and they're 3 years old - Nyx (Onyxia) and Nef (Nefarian) and they are my whole world. They're black cats, so lovely little voids and I often find myself talking to a crumpled t-shirt in the dark thinking it's them. They're rescue kitties and it took a lot of time for them to get comfortable and confident but now they zoom around and scream their demands for food and play to me.

Every cat is different and you know what your cat(s) need more than anyone, so I am happy to cover whatever is best for you and your cat(s). Whether this is some gentle pats, good scritches or toys and play time. Or maybe they're the type of cat that doesn't want any attention, they just want you to put down food and clear off! I'll lead by you and your cat(s).

Every visit I will clean the food and water bowls and put down fresh. If you have a litter tray, I'll scoop and clean this. I'm happy to do full litter cleans if you're away for a longer period too. I will check on your cat(s) to make sure they're okay and if they want to play or have strokes or cuddles, I'll make sure to spend a good amount of time with them doing that too. I will make sure to send pictures and an update each day as well.

If you have an indoor cat, I know it can be really anxiety inducing having someone come in and the worry of your cat escaping. I also have two indoor cats so I know the stress and the worry! Don't worry though, I'm used to being quick in or out and checking where the cat is to ensure they don't escape.

I'm happy to look after other small pets too. I have had or have cared for various animals including: birds, rabbits, rats, hamsters, hedgehogs, various lizards and snakes, various insects and fish. All of your pets will be in good hands. I'm also happy to take out bins, water plants, collect post, etc.
