Danny :))

Hello!!

My name is Danny, I'm a 26 year old semi-proffesional studio potter and academic with a passion for ceramic design, experimental archaeology and prehistoric art. I have my own studio here in york where I produce pottery and I have recently finished a Masters degree related the aformentioned interests from the University of York.

I'm a York local and have lived here for the last 16 years so i'm familiar with the area and can get around easily.

I am an avid cat lover with an affinity for particularly nervous/timid cats. I've lived with cats my whole life and have raised and grown up with 12 cats in total so far, two of which have been rescues who were particularly challenging and which I spent several years slowly rehabiliating to be beautifully gentle and confident cats.

I love all kinds of cats but do have a soft spot for grey, black, spotty and tabby cats as they remind me of my own!

If you find yourself booking in with me I can offer a few fundamental things;

I give excellent strokes and scratches!!

I can drive so am readily available if needed, I also know the entire central and greater York area so can get to you easily.

I don't mind visiting for a while to keep cats company!

I love giving cats a good play with..

I am a relaxing presence and love just chilling with cats for hours, reading or doing worketc. so long as they are being kept company!

I am not afraid of timid or slightly aggresive cats who may be seemingly "hard" to love... I have a soft spot for troubled cats and believe that no cat is angry, only afraid from past traumas. I am incredibly gentle and patient and I am not afraid of being injured by cats who may lash out, as I know that they are simply afraid and cannot communicate verbally nor comprehend human emotion.. I know that booking in with sitters when you have a nervous or scary cat can be hard so I can be someone to turn to if that is the case!

I quickly pick up feeding and reward regimes, and can work automatic feeders too. I can also provide medication to cats so long as it is liquid or pill form.
