About Me

Meow Whisperer - gentle, loving, playful

Hi, I’m a Japanese cat lover who has been living in London since 2001. I used to have two lovely cats — a black girl and a ginger boy — and I miss them dearly every day.

I adore making friends with cats on the streets and often find myself having little chats with them (yes, I talk to cats!). 🐱💬

My interests include music, art and design, singing and dancing, travelling, and more and more… and exploring the mysteries of our mind&body and the universe.✨

I believe every cat has a unique soul and deserves to be cared for with gentleness, patience, and love. As the “Meow Whisperer,” my goal is to create a calm and trusting space for your furry friend while you’re away.

Whether your cat is shy, playful, or a snuggler, I respect their rhythm and will always take time to understand their needs.

    Mariko is amazing! This is the second time she looked after Benji and I am now convinced he likes her more than us. She sent us daily updates, played with him and had lots of cuddles with him. She also took note of all his preferences, idiosyncrasies and safety (we hadn’t thought to let her know where the cat carrier was, for instance). Thank you!!

    Mariko did an amazing job looking after Zeus. She was organised and diligent when arranging the process and took great care of Zeus when coming over. Mariko found a way to Zeus’s heart very quickly as the update pictures showed a comfortable and playful kitty. Thank you so much Mariko!

    Mariko is an absolute star. From the moment we met her, we knew everything would go swimmingly. She very kindly sent us lots of updates and our cat seemed to like her better than us. She’s just the loveliest and kindest person and we are already making arrangements with her for our next trip. You will be lucky to have this lady look after your cat!

    Mariko was absolutely wonderful with my cats (and flat!)! She took the time to understand our requirements, the cats' routines and behaviours, sent me thoughtful updates, and showed so much patience and affection. I came home to two happy, relaxed and well groomed kitties and a spotless home. I’m so thankful for her care and highly recommend her!
