Vet Nurse Cat Carer 🐱♥️

My name is Sophia and I have been a friend of cats my whole life! Often understanding them more than humans 🙈😂 I often make friends with cats wherever I go, my profile pic is a cat I met in Amsterdam who decided he would like to sit on my lap for 20 minutes (of course I couldn’t get up). I live with my cat Bella and her spare human and it’s safe to say she rules the roost! I have had a strong empathy and care for animals since I was a child and this led me to pursue a career as a veterinary nurse! I currently am locuming and exploring work in the nature conservation sector to build the skills to help both wild and companion animals in the future ✨ I have been in the veterinary sector for 10 years and have been qualified as a veterinary nurse for 5 so have lots of experience with many different animals including wildlife but especially dogs and cats. The favourite part of my job is reassuring the patients and helping them feel more relaxed, calm and content when in the practice. Over the years I have cat and dog sat for neighbours, family members and colleagues, this was mainly when I lived at home with my parents as I was able to also house sit for people at the same time. Unfortunately now I have my own house I can only do visits but would love to continue giving cats in my local area the best care when their families are away ♥️.

I am a registered veterinary nurse with 10 years of experience in the industry so am familiar with different medications that need to be given at home and administering them, including injectables such as insulin. I’m available for 1 or 2 visits per day and will always try to give your cats as much attention as they need, I always like to stay a little longer for evening visits after work to give them some attention and play time (obviously if they wish! I know one cats like their own company and that’s okay ♥️). I’m familiar with different diets and know how to correctly weigh out and give food, I will always try to make feeding times and routines the same as you do to be consistent for you pet. I like to make sure litter trays stay nice and clean for your cat so will change the litter fully as often as you request and make sure it’s free from any poop when I visit as we all know cats love to be clean! My aim is to make your cat feel as happy and content as possible when you are away and always treat every animal as if they are my own, if you have any specific requests just let me know 😺. I also have a full DBS check certificate.
