Tame human to two and always happy to assist with more! :)

I am a 55-year-old servant to Antonia and Octavia. They live in a lovely village out in the Moray countryside in sunny Scotland and allow me to live there too, just as long as I feed them when required (gravy, not jelly), provide a warm lap upon request (no matter what work task I might be in the middle of) and as long as I do not take up too much of the duvet square footage when they are trying to sleep at night, after an exhausting day of splurging about the house and dropping fur onto my furniture in great handfuls. Basically, they are my furry-family and I totally adore them.

I work from home running my holiday business which allows me a very flexible schedule and the added advantage that I am always at home during the day. I also volunteer with Cats Protection although I am presently taking a sabbatical. Nonetheless, I am used to caring for all kinds of kitties from the super-chilled to the super-spicy. Presently, knee-deep in feral kittens so always looking for adopters, fosterers etc... :)

I have had cats almost constantly since leaving home almost 40 years ago and as well as naming them after famous women and men of Antiquity, they are an incredible boon to my life. No matter what else is going on in the world or my life: one purrrrrrr, one gentle head-bump or one invitation to provide a belly-rub is enough to entirely enhance that moment and probably the entire day.

Of my present kitties, I have had Octavia and Antonia since they were about 1. They are sisters who sadly suffered terrible abuse as kittens and have been damaged as a result, however they have discovered a sense of trust in me, despite everything they have been through, and show that in a thousand ways every day. Vespasian was my big old boy who I adopted from a shelter I volunteered at until moving up to Scotland just before lockdown one. He had lost his tame human and was in mourning. Every time I saw him to clean his pen, his plaintive cries and way of burying his head in the crook of my elbow, just melted my heart so he had to join my furry family to live out the autumn of his years. His half-sisters seemed happy with his company and at twice the weight and twice the age of them, he was something of a wise and mature presence in the house. I sadly lost him in 2020 but was happy that his last years were comfortable and loving ones. I still miss him and his epic super-heavy zoomies/ mortal fear of flies, every single day.

Basically, I love all animals, am passionate about conservation but in my little world up here in the North East of Scotland; my cats are the centre of my world. It would be a pleasure to help to look after yours too, so please do let me know if you would be interested in my doing so.

I am happy to take on any responsibilities really and can help with shopping for your return and keep the house clean etc, whilst you are away. I normally spend around 45 minutes or thereabouts on each visit so that the fluffs can get used to me and we can bond through play/ treato's/ feeding/ resting in comfort.
