Hi there! I’m Josie, a lifelong animal lover with over 20 years of experience caring for pets, particularly cats and dogs, but also other wonderful animals. I’ve volunteered at several rescues and kennels in Italy, where I’ve cared for animals in need—whether they were found wounded on the streets or rescued from difficult situations. My passion has always been to ensure these animals receive the care they deserve and are given the best opportunities for a loving home.

I currently share my home with three amazing feline companions and my 11-year-old rescue dog, Marley, who absolutely adores his cat siblings.

Misty, my almost 2-year-old tortie, is a perfect mix of sweet and sassy—she loves affection but also enjoys her independence. Then there’s Toby, my sweet little 3-month-old tabby, who is the ultimate cuddle bug—he loves giving kisses and snuggling up any chance he gets. And of course, there’s Winnie Pooh, my mischievous but very affectionate orange boy and the certified troublemaker of the family, always finding new ways to keep me on my toes! They all adore each other, making every day full of love, fun, and plenty of purrs.

Cats have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I truly understand how important it is to make them feel safe, happy, and loved—whether through playtime, cozy cuddles, or just respecting their space. I have experience with everything from energetic kittens to wise old seniors and am comfortable administering medication, sticking to routines, and adapting to each cat’s unique personality.

I’d also love to help you care for other animals like bunnies, rodents, fish, reptiles, birds, and more. Whether you have a small pet or a more unique companion, I’m happy to offer my experience and love to a variety of animals.

As a dedicated and experienced cat sitter in Edinburgh, I offer a variety of services to ensure your furry friend stays happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s a drop-in visit to refresh food and water, clean the litter tray, and provide some fun playtime, or an overnight stay to keep your cat company, I’m here to make sure they feel safe and loved.

I understand that every cat has its own personality and needs, so I always tailor my services to make sure they get the attention and care they deserve.

I’ve also got experience in pet grooming, and I’m happy to brush your cat’s coat to keep it in top condition or help with nail trims when needed.
