Highly experienced local pet sitter

Hi all,

My name is Lou, and I am animal mad. I have had pets all my life but have owned a menagerie for many years. I like to consider myself as a 'crazy cat, parrot, tortoise lady'.

I currently have 5 cats of my own, one 'semi-feral' and 6 foster kittens. I have fostered for over 20 years for a local cat welfare and rescue charity can cannot count how many cats and kittens I have worked with.

I have my own mini-zoo with our cats, African grey parrot, Tko, my two leopard tortoises, Darwin & Wallace, my Herman's tortoise, Shelley, a Sudanese lizard and ducks and chickens.

I am a 'mature' but very grounded generous person and loves meeting people and helping others. I am currently studying a PhD in Biological Sciences and working.

I enjoy pet-care and looking after exotics and have a lot of experience of many species having worked in a zoo and having taught university students in animal behaviour and welfare and conservation for more than 13 years.

As a highly experienced pet owner, I can care for many breeds, species and lifestyles. Whilst I only own moggies, I have experience with many breeds and ages.

I am particularly fond of grumpy animals and love spending time with oldies. I have rescued many golden oldies and had our family cat until she was 23!

I will gladly look after your beloved pets at home and can visit as many times as you like and can stay as long as you like. I am very happy to look after anyone else that may be there (apart from teenagers)... as ours have now moved on.

I can care for parrots and other caged birds in my home if needed as my pets are all habituated to each other and with free roaming tortoises, and a parrot, my cats can be trusted (although I would not leave any owned pet together with mine).

I am more than happy to stay over if needs be and I am open to any pet care.
