Kind hearted Cat sitter

Hi my name is Onyinye :) I’m a cat sitter living in Croydon. I have always loved cats - I’ve taken in lost strays until they were reunited with their owners but finally managed to convince my landlord to allow me to adopt a cat about a year and a half ago. Simba was a year old when I adopted him and he has lit up my life. Since then, ice had other cats in my care that have affirmed to me just how special cats are.

I offer services that are very tailored to each cat. Having done a lot of research on cats, I know just how important playing is for their wellbeing. But interacting with cats has shown me the different ways they like to play and I endeavour to engage them in a way that’s enjoyable for them.

Similarly, I love cuddly cats. Many cats have that endearing quality of not caring about your personal space and I give them all the cuddles they need. But I also know how important it is to respect their autonomy and space. My own cat, Simba, loves his cuddles sometimes and other times hates being picked up. He is his own animal and I know to respect that. The best bonds are built with trust and I strive to build that with cats by showing I look after their needs by playing with them, giving them treats, maybe teaching them tricks (I taught Simba to sit), giving them the best scratches but also respecting their boundaries and watching for their cues. It’s especially important since unfortunately some cats have had bad experiences with humans.
