Hello,

I'm a long-time cat owner and currently have an elderly but very healthy cat companion who is now 19 years old. I love to meet other cats - I'm that person who crouches down and makes friends with cats I meet in the street.

I moved to Friendly near Sowerby Bridge in the summer of 2024 and I'm loving my new life here. It's a big change from north London!

I'm a semi-retired wedding, naming and funeral celebrant so have some time on my hands to take care of cats of all ages who need some TLC when their people are away.

I know I worry about my old girl when I have to go away so I understand how you might feel too. As well as looking after my own cat (and her sister who had to be put down a few years ago), I have experience of looking after my friend's cats while they're on holiday.

I discovered Cat In A Flat after much Googling for local cat sitters when I first needed someone to look after Murphy one weekend. It's a great service.

As a cat owner for nearly 20 years I understand that as well as fresh water and food, your cat/s may need some extra TLC when you are away from them. They may need me to play with them, give them some fuss, let them out for a little while, or just sit quietly with them. I'm happy to follow your direction. I'm also happy to give treats or medication as required - as long as it's not too complicated.

I take photos and short videos to send to you via WhatsApp to give you peace of mind while you're away.

I have a car so it's easy for me to build in visits into my day.
