I’m Vicky, a lifelong cat lover and owner (my parents got a kitten when I was a baby!) with years of experience caring for cats of all ages, from playful kittens to wise and wonderful seniors. I understand that every cat has their own personality and needs, whether it’s endless playtime, cozy lap naps, distance and personal space, quiet time or gentle care for seniors who need calm and comfort.

I have a special soft spot for senior cats, having grown up with a cat that lived to be 20 and currently own a 15 year old.

The last thing I want to do is overwhelm or frighten a cat so I am gentle in my approach, allow the cat space, wait for the cat to want to befriend me and go at the cat's pace. If the cat allows me, I will make an effort to bond by sitting quietly with the cat, sometimes having a little chat - whatever the cat wants. It's not about me, it's about the cat!

I'm comfortable with litter tray duties (I don't flinch at cleaning up poo, even off a cat's furry back legs), playtime, general company (a little chat or a YouTube video of birds), cuddles or even just down-time if your cat isn't into any of that - I prefer to allow space for the cat's personality. Some cats are not cuddly, and that's fine. If your cat does want a cuddle, I am more than happy to reciprocate. I am happy to manage your cat's food and water needs and any overnight stays are fine with me. My aim is to make your cat feel safe, calm, well fed and looked after.
