The Granny Cat sitter

I am retired from residential child care for teenagers with emotional and behavioural problems. I was brought up with cats and have been Mum to some wonderful ones all my life. My first one I brought back from South Africa with our dog in the 1970’s. They both lived to 18 years old. I’ve had mainly “moggies” but some Bengals too. My last little lady who died very recently was aged 17 years and 7 months….would not tolerate dogs visiting but adored my spaniel and cuddled her daily. It feels very strange without her.

I offer the same level of care I gave my own cats. I will look after them as you instruct so that they get as little stress as possible while you are away. Obviously I will be more than happy to cuddle them but not if they are a cat that wouldn’t want that. I shall try to be sensitive to their needs and wants. I would like you to tell me exactly what they require. I will spend some time with them so they get attention and don’t feel so lonely. I shall ensure feeding bowls are kept clean and fresh and cat litter trays are attended to. I am also happy to send photos and updates to owners to let them know how their precious cats are getting on. I would contact you immediately if I thought there were any issues I needed you to know about, such as a health concern.
