Whisker of the Heart

My parents got a kitten before they had a baby (me!) - he grew from a runt of the litter to a big ginger tomcat bruiser and was my constant companion. After he moved on, we adopted a fluffy stray from Battersea. It took all the patience of my nine-year-old safe to earn his trust, but once I had it he was a loving friend. Our most recent addition is a dopey, chunky British shorthair who never fails to amuse with his stuck out tongue, earnest sunbathing, and demanding meows.

When I'm not fawning over my four-legged friends, I work at a daycentre for those experiencing homelessness in southeast London. In my free time I enjoy politics podcasts, knitting, trawling zine fairs, and reading (currently novels about scientists and their mindbending discoveries).

I'm looking forward to befriending your furry family member, providing strokes as desired, feeding square meals and little treats, and keeping them entertained, whether with toys or tales of my day. I'll work to counter any loneliness or discomfort your feline may be feeling in your absence. I am happy to discuss your specific requests more!
