From the earliest days I can remember, my life has been intertwined with the comforting presence of cats. They've been more than just pets; they've been quiet companions, furry confidantes, and integraal members of my family. Growing up, there was always a purring presence somewhere in the house, a playful swat at a dangling toy, or a warm body curled up on a favourite armchair. This lifelong connection has fostered a deep appreciation for their unique personalities, their independent spirits, and the quiet joy they bring to a home. This love for cats extends beyond my personal life and even seems to resonate with my professional one. Working in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, I've often observed the calming and therapeutic effect animals can have on individuals with diverse needs. There's a gentle understanding and unspoken bond that can form, and I often think about how the intuitive nature of cats could potentially offer comfort and companionship in such an environment. Thankfully, my passion is shared at home too, as my family are equally devoted to our feline friends, creating a truly cat-centric and loving household.
