About Me

TaraCatSits for play, pats & purrs - with photo updates to make you smile!

With over 45 years experience with cats, I’m sensitive to different feline temperaments and needs.

I also have experience with other animals and have needed to give medication to cats in my care - drops and pills.

We live with one very happy rescue cat (pictured). In September 2025 we also adopted a kitten called Ahsoka.

I’ve worked in publishing, education, and charity sectors for over 30 years and enjoy art and writing.

Will give your cat companion plenty of attention around 45 minutes or a bit longer depending on their mood with brushing if they tolerate it, play and most importantly lots of affection.

I will endeavor to take good quality photos of your cat. Please see examples in my gallery below.

If there are other pets in the household I can look after them too.

Unfazed by any mucky jobs - be it managing litter trays, accidents, vomit, or unwanted ‘presents’.

Will also ensure your cat has access to a clean environment for their food and water. Can set automatic cat feeders if necessary.

Plus any additional needs like plant watering or security.

    Tara is an amazing and caring cat sitter - while we were away, we received daily updates with photos and videos of our two cats (and other animals), putting our minds at rest and allowing us to enjoy our holiday.     Excellent cat sitter who really loves cats. Tara was even happy to give our cat medication for a condition diagnosed just before we went on holiday which was a great help. Daily updates and great communication generally. Our fish is also happy and so are our plants.
