Hi, I’m Joyce! I’m a huge animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs. I used to volunteer with the Wuhan Stray Animal Rescue Association in China, where I helped look after lots of animals in need—feeding them, comforting them, and learning how to earn the trust of even the shyest pets. I’m also the proud owner of a 6-year-old cat who had been through three different homes before he came to me. When I adopted him at one, he was pretty shy and reserved because of all the changes he’d been through. Over the years, I’ve learned how to create a calm, safe space for him, understand different cat personalities, and take a balanced, science-based approach to feeding and care.
