About Me
Cat sitter in London
Hello there,
My name is Cathryn but everyone calls me Cat. I am a Special Effects Makeup Artist Student studying at the London College of Fashion in Stratford, East London, living in Kent and Hackney part time.
I live in a lovely flat with my own very well looked after and beloved cat called Mr Mon.
I grew up in a home where we had cats all my life. They were always there for me and we rescued some charming kitties as the years went by. I even bottle raised a baby kitten from 4 weeks old and he is now very happy and thriving.
I have also cared for a mother and her litter of 4 kittens. Now all grown and rehomed to their forever homes, leaving the mama and little daughter living happily in my mums house in Kent.
I have experience of working with cats that are shy or find new people scary. Having rescured a little tomcat from a terrible situation and spending time building a bond with him that took time but became very strong. Another queen we rescured had a broken leg and was fearful of people but with the same care and calm patience she flourished into a happy confidente beauty. Given care and time any cat can be brought out of their shell.
I have always had a keen understanding with cats. I studied their behaviours most of my life and was even aspiring to become a Big Cat keeper at Portlyme in kent. I am well versed in how to approach a cat in a manner that makes them feel at ease. The patience and calm nature required to help them feel safe. I can offer my attentive care to a cat´s needs and the love that they deserve.
I have repeat clients that return to my care again and again. Even referring me onto their own friends and family.
I devote each cat the time, patience and care they deserve and tailor my care to meet each Cats specific care requirements.
Beyond that I try to spend a minimum of 30-60 mins with my cat clients so that they can have some much needed play and care whilst their beloved owners are away.
-
Happy to be a playmate for each kitty to help them stay active and happy
-
Able to administer flea & worming treatments by default / specialised medicine under direction
-
Will meet your cat where they are and work with each cat on an individual level
I.e / confident cats get confident pats and shy gets get pats on their own terms.
- No cat is too scary for me. No cat is too ‘aggressive’ - as I said previously I’ve dealt with tigers and lions before. I’m not going to be upset about a cat who just feels abit overstimulated in that moment. I’ve also raised quite a few kittens and they have claws too. But none of that matters to me.
