About Me

Cat sitter in London

Hello! I'm a psychotherapist, artist, and charity worker with extensive experience looking after cats and other animals, both feral and domestic. At home, I have a beautiful 13 year old rescue cat that I adopted 11 years ago from the local city farm where I work.

I’ve been around cats all my life and always love meeting new ones and getting to know their characters and habits. I grew up with 7 cats, 3 dogs, mice, birds, fish, terrapins, and a hamster, so am very comfortable looking after other animals too. I have also done lots of cat sitting for friends and will look after yours like my own - feeding, stroking, brushing, cleaning out the litter tray, giving treats and playing hide-and-seek.

I am especially patient with shy cats, spending extra time in their homes so they can become familiar with me and build up trust. Expect numerous photos and videos while you're away too.

I live and work in Bethnal Green and am available to travel within reasonable cycle distance.

    Cannot recommend Sam highly enough. She responded to my request for a cat sitter at very short notice which I really appreciated. She is incredibly communicative over the phone, keeping me updated everyday. Equally is well versed in handling fussy cats (as mine are). I would get her to cat sit again in a heartbeat.

    We would highly recommended Sam as a Cat sitter. Sam was easy to deal with, met us before we went away to walk through instructions and meet Fig and Pickle, and then gave very regular updates throughout our trip away with texts and pictures.     Sam looked after my two cats for a weekend and did a great job. She communicated well and the photos she sent showed my usually shy cats comfortable around her.

    I came back to find both cats relaxed and well-cared-for. If you need a reliable cat sitter, I'd recommend Sam.

    Sam was phenomenal. She was sensitive to the cats' different personalities and fed our shy cat where he felt most comfortable on the day to make sure the other cats did not eat his food. She also played with them, cleaned up kitty messes, and sent us lots of pictures -- including of cat snugs which made it clear she had bonded with them.

    Sam took care of our little Yogi for 10 days. We had great communication everyday, with lots of photos and videos of what they’ve been up to and our cat was happy and playful everyday. She took care of cleaning and making sure everything cat related was in order. We came back to a very very happy cat. We would definitely choose her again.

    Sam was fantastic, and clearly a huge animal lover. I received lots of lovely pictures and videos with each visit.
