Purrs of Brightwell

I'm a lifelong cat lover and have shared my home with rescue cats for many years, some of which have had long-term health conditions. This has given me valuable experience in providing tailored care, managing medications, and creating a calm, loving environment—especially in their later years. I've previously taken in rescue guinea pigs, including one with health problems, so I'm familiar with giving extra care when it's needed.

I also regularly care for the pets of friends and neighbours, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and hamsters.

I understand that every animal has a unique personality, and some pets can be nervous or territorial, so I’m respectful of their boundaries and never force interaction. My priority is always to make them feel safe and comfortable.

Outside of pet care, I volunteer as a community warden for a local nature reserve and as a biodiversity volunteer with the council, which deepens my love and understanding of the natural world.

I ensure every pet gets the right food at the right time, clean bedding and litter trays, and lots of gentle attention (if they want it!). I always leave homes clean and tidy, just as the owner left them.

I can visit homes in the Brightwell-cum-Sotwell parish and Wallingford. I am happy to travel to surrounding villages which may incur extra costs to cover mileage.

As well as taking care of pets I am also happy to carry out other services, such as opening/closing curtains and blinds, remove post from doorstep/porch, ensuring correct lights are left on/off. These can be included as part of the daily visit fee if they do not take time away from caring for your pet. Any time consuing tasks, such as watering plants, hoovering/sweeping main pet living area, putting bins out and returning them on collection days, etc. will incur extra fees, which can be discussed whilst booking.

I will provide whatsapp/messenger updates and pictures of how your pet is getting on at home. I will also notify you of any concerns/observations I feel you should be aware of before your return.

I am flexible with my availability for both short and long-term daytime pet-sitting. I drive and have my own vehicle, so I can easily travel to your home.
