Experienced Cat Sitter From Canada (new to London)

Hi, I’m Hannah, a new sitter for Cat in a Flat, and I'm a long-time cat lover and cat sitter! I grew up in a family that has always had cats, as well as all sorts of animals, though I don’t doubt I would’ve turned out to be a cat person no matter what. When I moved out, I ended up not only adopting a cat with my roommate in uni, but I worked for over 4 years as a professional cat sitter for Toronto's top cat sitting company, Cat Sitter Toronto Inc. Now that I’ve graduated, I’m in London to write, and my life is decidedly lacking in the company of furry friends. Working at CST was the best job I ever had, I simply loved working with cats and it’s true when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work. I truly believe there’s nothing more satisfying than making a cat feel safe and loved ❤️

I usually start visits introducing myself to your cat(s) and making sure they’re comfortable. Depending on your needs, I usually assume feeding and litter cleaning will be required each visit, and then I am happy to take care of any additional chores (cleaning cat dishes, giving supplements, turning on/off cat TV, etc) that are requested. Majority of visits will be tailored to your cats needs, i.e. keeping them company, cuddle time, play time (younger cats especially will need an outlet for energy so playtime is essential), brushing, and more. Cats have personalities just like people and I always treat them in that respect. I have been trained in all things cat sitting and was a senior cat sitter at CST. If necessary, I have been trained in feline CPR, as well as various meds for cats, including oral (pills, liquids, inhalers), injections, and topical (transdermal meds). I've had cats with basic needs to cats with incredibly specific meds and dietary requirements; trust me, I'm ready for anything. I also have been told I have a particular skill with the camera and taking the best pics of the kitties I cat sit - whether loafing, eating, or mid-play.
