From bold and spicy to 'living under the sofa' - I’ve met them all - very experienced cat sitter!

Hi, I’m Sharon. I’ve recently moved to Deal and I’m looking to get to know the local area and its people - but mostly, I’m looking to spend some time with some cats.

I’m not quite ready to have a cat of my own again just yet. My last rescue girl was with me until she was nearly 20 and i had her from a kitten. Anyone who has lost a long-term feline companion knows that’s a big hole to fill. For now, I’d love to pour that affection into looking after yours instead. I have had 4 rescue cats in total in my life as well as 10 years working with, rehoming, assessing and matching cats to people and looking after rescue cats. I have had experience of cats in my life for over 30 years. I also used to love to cat sit for friends when i was in my 20s when i still lived at home.

Why trust me with your keys (and your cats)? 10 Years in Rescue: I spent a decade working for a very well-known cat rescue. I’ve met the bold, the shy, the grumpy, and the downright eccentric. Whether your cat is a "lap-cat" or prefers to glare at me from the top of the wardrobe, I’m entirely comfortable with their boundaries and will adapt to meet their needs.

The "Worry" Factor: I know exactly how it feels to head off on holiday while worrying if the cat is okay. It’s not easy. My aim is to take that stress away by keeping their routine exactly as they like it.

Current Life: I work from home in an admin role, so I’m very much a fan of a quiet life. I’m reliable and I promise to treat your home with respect.

Company: If your cat likes a chin wag or a bit of play, I’m there. If they prefer me to just sit quietly nearby while I check my emails or read a book, that’s fine too.

Peace of Mind: I’ll send you a quick update and a photo so you can see they’re happy and settled if you would like.

I’m happy to bring in the post or water the odd plant while I’m visiting if needed too.

I’m really looking forward to settling into life in Deal having moved into the area and meeting some of the local feline characters and make some money whist getting a cat fix and doing up my new home until i am ready for a cat (or 2) of my own.

What I’m offering:

The Essentials: Feeding, fresh water, and the inevitable litter tray duties, can give medication. Cuddles or play time, chatting time or chilling time - cats are the best teachers and i will work with what they want to make them as happy as possible.

Minimum 30 minute visits and happy to provide updates as / if needed (although i know this can be make it harder to not miss them!)
