Need trusted kitty care in Calderdale? We're on hand to look after your feline friend!

We're Hannah and Gareth, chief kitty carers to the adorable purring machine Luna, who we adopted from the RSPCA at 11 weeks old in May 2025.

We've a enjoyed a couple of Trusted House Sitters gigs in the last few years, including a Christmas fortnight in France looking after 10 month old kittens, Fleur and Ronnie. So we're really excited to join Cat in a Flat and start meeting our local cat community.

My family always had dogs, but I've spent lots of time around cats over the years and am a fully-fledged feline convert since Luna arrived! Hannah grew up with two beloved family cats, Pepper and Monty. So between us we have plenty of experience.

We moved to Todmorden in 2024 (before that we lived in Hebden for 9 years). Hannah works in the non-profit sector as an event manager. I'm an outdoor instructor, working with young people doing Duke of Edinburgh and also leading private hiking/cycling tours.

We're both outdoor people, we love travelling to new places, spend a lot of time cooking, and enjoy making the most of the fantastic live music venues on our doorstep.

We can offer one or two daily visits of around 30mins each.

We can provide: - lashings of chin rubs, cuddles and tummy tickles, toy time and entertainment, or some quiet gentle company if that's what your cat prefers - the essentials of feeding / water / clean & change litter / grooming if required - regular updates and photos so you know your cat is in fine feline fettle! - earliest morning visit from 8.00am / latest evening finishing 7.30pm ((depending on location)

Additional info: - happy to arrange a free meet & greet to get to know you and understand your cat's needs - it could be just one of us calling in, or we'd split the responsibility between us, whichever you're comfortable with and agreed in advance - also happy to discuss other small jobs eg. collect post, water plants, open curtains/windows etc. - Gareth is DBS checked for work

We're generally flexible in terms of availability. I work on a freelance basis, so am often around in between jobs. Also my work gets quieter in the winter, so I have even more time then for cat caring duties. Hannah is part-time based at home.
