Barbara’s Cat Sitting

Hello! I’m Barbara, I’m 25 years old and moved to the UK in 2018 from Portugal for university! After finishing my studies, I decided to stay as I’ve grown quite fond of the city. Currently I work as an external communications specialist for an energy technology company, which allows me to work from home any day of the week. The perfect scenario for any kitty who needs that extra bit of attention, or just companionship.

Unfortunately, I’m not yet in a position where I can adopt a cat, but I’ve had them all my life at home. Currently we have one grey british short hair, Guilherme, the apple of my mom’s eye and the only boy in the family! Sadly his sister, Amelia, passed away this year. I miss them terribly.

I’m an animal lover to put it simply, and cats are fascinating little creatures. Unlike their canine counterparts, you really need to take your time and get to know them. I think seeing that relationship flourish over time is one of the most rewarding feelings ever. Like most of us here (I assume), I’m the person playing with the cat in the corner at a gathering or filling up my memory with cat photos.

I’m happy to cover any needs your cat may need, apart from nail clipping. I’ll change their litter, play as long as they need, give them pets and cuddles, feed them (of course), brush them, clean their bowls, take photos and send updates! I truly just enjoy being in their presence. In regard to medication, it depends on the cat temperament but I’d be happy to do it as well! :)
