About Me
Cat sitter in Brighouse
Hi my name is Emma.
I am a lifelong cat owner and currently have two furbabies, 7 year old Bonnie, a white and tabby female, and 3 year old Spike, my cuddly baby boy. Spike was one of the kittens from my first foster family and is a handsome black and white half siamese, very chatty chap.
I volunteer for Yorkshire Cat Rescue in Keighley both working at the centre and fostering cats and kittens. I have looked after litters both with mum and bottle fed orphans as well as kittens of all ages. I have also fostered kittens that needed extra care either because of injury or illness but over the past year have specialised in 'bravery training' taking kittens that haven't had much human contact and encouraging them to trust humans again. I've had a lot of success with these and re-homed several previously semi-feral kittens last year. I am in touch with their adoptive families and it is lovely to see these scared little beings turn into loving, purring, cuddly members of the family.
I left a career in law to pursue my dream of working with animals and have recently completed a BTEC diploma in Animal Management and am experienced in dealing with most small animals as well as with cats.
I work from home and cover Brighouse and the surrounding areas. As well as looking after your cat I can also bring in post, open and shut curtains to make your house look lived in whilst you are away, water plants, feed fish - just let me know!
I hope to meet you and your furbabies soon.
