Of all the memories from my student days, the one that shines brightest is the day a silver British Shorthair quietly entered my life. Back then, the studio where I spent most of my time had become a regular stop for neighborhood strays. It was in that simple, unassuming way that cats became part of my daily life — and he was one of them.

When I moved out of the dorm, he moved with me. We became more than just owner and pet; we were companions in that little space we called home. His calm presence turned an empty apartment into a place of warmth.

Now that I’m studying in the UK, he’s no longer by my side, but he’s not alone. He’s become my parents' gentle companion, filling the house with the same quiet comfort he once gave me. Seeing him curled up beside them in photos, I feel at peace — grateful that our paths crossed, and thankful that he continues to be loved, even from afar.
