A lifelong cat owner looking to help others!

Nice to meet you! I am a huge wildlife and animal lover who has been around cats right from birth as my family has always had pets, especially cats. Over the years we've had many moggies as well as a Havana and two Bengals. For several years my Mum bred Maine Coons so I have also been around many, many Maines! Currently I live with a gorgeous tabby moggie, two fluffy Maines and a cheeky, chunky British Blue baby girl. Growing up we also had dozens of rabbits, rats, hamsters, fish and even stick insects! I've worked as a marketer and data operations specialist at a scientific publisher for 19 years but have done a lot of animal related-volunteering such as caring for various reptiles, insects and amphibians at Bristol Zoo and three stints at a Namibian wildlife sanctuary caring for all kinds of amazing creatures! I love meeting new cats and I am always fascinated by their totally unique and varied personalities. I'd love to help you give your cat the best care when you're away :)

As someone who adores their own pets I know the importance of making sure someone knows their best buddy is cared for and I am happy to provide updates, give copious treats (as allowed) and any amount of cuddles and playtime! At the same time, my decades of experience living with cats means that I also know when a cat is the type to prefer space and affection from a distance, or needs time to adjust to a stranger. I always aim to adjust to the needs of the cat. I also have experience with old cats, cats that need meds and, as my Mum was a breeder, extensive experience with kittens including helping to rear and feed them. I have also had rabbits and rodents as pets and through my volunteering and personal interest I have experience and knowledge with reptile care and various other animals.
