I work in a caring, people-focused role, but animals — especially cats — have always been my soft spot. I grew up with cats and I’ve looked after friends’ moggies for years. I’ve loved them all: the shy ones who need time and patience, the bold ones who walk into a room like they pay rent, and the cuddly ones who glue themselves to your lap before you’ve even taken your coat off. Why do I love cats? Because they’re tiny, fluffy comedians with very strong opinions — and they always know how to make a house feel like a home.
