About Me
Reliable and heart warming cat care
Hi, I'm Helen and I live in North Swindon. Some of my favourite Instagram cats to follow are Merlinragdoll and Moetblindcat.
I had a long haired tortoiseshell cat growing up and I then adopted two 5 year old long haired pure white cats from Cats Protection around 2009. Unfortunately, I lost one of them suddenly to an undiagnosed heart condition about 18 months after I adopted him. The other, my beautiful Mia (in profile picture), went on to live with me for 15 wonderful years. She brought so much fun, mischief, laughter and joy to my life, by my side through all of the ups and downs of life, and I miss her every day. Mia was diabetic, and towards the end of her life she suffered with multiple eye complications, so I do have experience of giving daily insulin injections and administering eye drops/gels/creams.
I recently volunteered at a rescue shelter in Chile, looking after more than 80 cats! It was heart warming to be part of helping so many cats in need and knowing that I played a small part in giving them a better quality of life.
As my healing journey continues, I would love to spend time looking after and caring for cats in Swindon and the surrounding areas.
Note: I have a clear DBS check - this was done in March 2025 as a requirement before I went volunteering in South America.
I realise that as a new person to this platform, the lack of reviews may put people off, but we all have to start somewhere. I used pet sitting services extensively for many years for the care of my own cats, so I feel I know and appreciate the things that pet & home owners need and value.
I am very reliable, organised, respectful and careful, and I'll do my utmost to look after your kitties and property diligently.
I am happy to cover all areas of Swindon and the surrounding area, plus I'm open to discuss other areas too.
I can provide food & water, clean litter trays and bowls, plus brush, play and give LOTS of cuddles and affection. I may be able to administer medication also - I have some experience of giving daily insulin injections and eye drops for my own cat.
I would also be happy to feed & clean the housing for other animals - hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, birds, etc. Plus collect mail, water plants, open/close curtains, etc to give peace of mind while you are away from home.
