About Me
East End Cat Whisperer
Hello!
I’ve lived in Bethnal Green for over 15 years, and have 30+ years’ experience of looking after and loving cats.
As your cat sitter, I will: - Be super reliable, clean, tidy and trustworthy - Treat your cat like it was my own - Feed, water and clean up - goes without saying! - Give extra time to attention (if they like that) - Be happy to do extras like watering plants etc - Lock up carefully and guard your keys with my life - Send daily updates of your cat having a great time!
I think that covers the basics! Read on if you want the full life story of why your cat would love to have me look after them while you’re away, but brevity is not my strongpoint so I thought I’d save you some time. 😉
Sadly, I can’t have my own cats at the moment, because my landlady isn’t keen. But I’ve had cats all my life, so I instinctively understand how to make them happy and comfortable. We had Purdy, a gentle tortie girl with white boots. My tuxedo twins, Lady & Sylvester - their names fitted their characters so perfectly. Chewy, so named because he chews things rather than sniff them! Cats all have their own personalities and ways, don’t they!
I’m new to this site, but have done lots of cat sitting for friends and family. My profile is ‘cat whisperer’ because that’s what my friend called me after I looked after her older and rather lazy (but lovely!) rescue cat, Pearl, for a couple of weeks. I got her to play and trained her to use the cat flap (she had my friend nicely trained to open the back door on demand 😉). Pearl will happily sit on my lap - I’m the only person except my friend to be accorded that honour. I don’t like to boast, but I don’t think you can get a better review than that! If a cat loves you, you’ve done something right.
I’ll be led by you about what your cat’s needs are and what treats are allowed. I can read their moods very well so I won’t bother them with the wrong kind of fuss. And if you’ve got more than one, I’ll make sure they each get whatever they need to be happy and well cared for. No cat left behind on my watch!
I’m very happy looking after multiple cats. My sister has three (two black sisters, Raven & Hex, and Chewy, who was my dad’s cat) and I look after them for her quite often. That’s one of them in the picture - Raven, who likes to be near you but not on you - but she can’t get enough tummy rubs!
I’m up for all the usual cat things: play, cuddles, grooming, food and water, and of course keeping things clean and cleaning up messes. (Even with those fancy litter machines, we all know this is par for the course with a cat!) Plus, I have a car, so if they needed the vet that’s not a problem. I can also water plants and pick up post, draw curtains etc - we can just talk about what you need.
I work for a national charity, but I’m currently only working part time while I have medical treatment. This means I have loads of time on my hands, and I would love to spend some of that time looking after your cats.
I understand how important your cats are to you, so feel free to get in touch if there’s anything you’d like to ask me or if you’d like a reference until I clock up some reviews. I look forward to meeting you and your cats!
