Experienced Cat Sitter - Professional Care with a Creative Touch

Hi, I’m Yao! 🎓I’m a GSA Master’s graduate and current PhD applicant based in London. Most importantly, I’m a lifelong cat lover who understands that a cat is family.

My experience🐈 I spent three and a half years raising my rescued tortoiseshell, Julie, from a tiny two-month-old kitten. While she’s currently back in China with my parents, I get my "cat fix" by looking after my landlord’s two cats, Kiki and Simba, whenever they are away. I’ve also looked after friends’ cats through various life stages, including those recovering from surgery or needing a bit of extra medical attention.

What I offer🐈‍⬛ I’m very mindful of a cat’s boundaries; I know that some thrive on intense playtime and cuddles, while others just want a quiet human presence in the room. Beyond the essentials—fresh water, food, and clean litter—I focus on making sure your cat feels safe and settled. I’m happy to send you frequent photo and video updates. Since I have a background in design and photography, I love taking high-quality, thoughtfully composed photos of the cats I sit for. If we have a longer booking, I’d be more than happy to create a little doodle or sketch of your cat as a small gift for you to keep.

Logistics📍 I’m currently based in West London, but I’m quite flexible with travel across London. Since I’m in a research phase for my studies, my schedule is relatively open, and I can often accommodate last-minute visits.

I’m a big believer in a "meet-and-greet" first to make sure everyone (especially the cat!) is comfortable. Looking forward to hearing from you and meeting your feline friends😊!
